A tragic accident claimed the lives of two men who crashed their motorcycle into a stone barrier on a fog-covered bridge, according to local authorities on Monday.
Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi reported that Ravindra Kumar, 30, and Monu, 28, both from Dhakia Ragha village, were en route to Jakhiya village on Sunday night when they met the accident.
The police noted that due to the dense fog, the pair failed to see the stones acting as a road barrier on the Kolaghat bridge, leading to serious injuries. Medical personnel at the Jalalabad Community Health Centre declared them dead on arrival. The bodies have since been sent for postmortem examination.
