Tragedy struck in the Narendranagar area of Tehri district on Monday when a bus veered off course and plummeted into a 70-meter-deep ravine. The accident resulted in the deaths of five passengers.
The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) arrived promptly on the scene, deploying five teams to spearhead rescue operations. As efforts continued, injured passengers were evacuated from the ravine and transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Officials have confirmed five fatalities at the scene, with 28 individuals reportedly aboard the ill-fated bus at the time of the incident.
