Mizoram Governor Vijay Kumar Singh has lauded the inauguration of the Bairabi-Sairang railway line, not merely as an infrastructural addition but as a transformative element for the state of Mizoram.
This 51.38-kilometer rail link, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 13, aims to integrate Mizoram into the national railway network, thereby enhancing connectivity.
The project is expected to elevate the state's tourism and reduce logistical costs while forging connections with larger developmental projects such as the Kaladan Multi-Modal Transit Transport Project.
