A tragic accident occurred off the coast of Manora on Sunday when a speedboat collided with a passenger vessel, resulting in the deaths of a woman and a teenage girl. The collision left 18 others injured, including children.

According to DIG Syed Asad Raza, the incident unfolded as the passenger boat was making its way from Manora Beach to Jetty No. 1 around 6:30 pm. The impact was devastating, leading to the destruction of the boat and injuring the 22 individuals aboard from four different families.

Rescue teams from the Pakistan Navy and Karachi Port Trust swiftly responded, transporting the injured to medical facilities in Clifton and the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi. While immediate rescue efforts saved many lives, the incident remains under investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
