In a significant development aimed at bolstering bilateral ties, Russia and Saudi Arabia have inked a deal to facilitate a visa-free regime for tourists and businesspeople. The agreement allows visa-free stays of up to 90 days, as announced at the Saudi-Russian Investment and Business Forum in Riyadh.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, who was in Riyadh for the signing, stated that the necessary legal procedures to activate the agreement would follow promptly. He expressed optimism about launching this initiative by the beginning of the next year.

The two nations are also coordinating efforts to increase the number of airlines offering direct flights between them. This move is expected to strengthen economic cooperation and cultural exchange significantly.
