IndiGo, grappling with substantial operational challenges, announced compensation measures on Thursday for passengers affected by flight disruptions from December 3 to 5. Each impacted passenger will receive travel vouchers worth Rs 10,000.

This initiative is above the standard compensation required by DGCA norms. IndiGo acknowledged the inconvenience faced by passengers due to severe congestion and extended delays.

The airline, India's largest, is under regulatory scrutiny and will cut its winter flight schedule by 10% in response to these disruptions. Previously flying approximately 2,300 flights daily, IndiGo is working to restore stability to its operations.
