An IndiGo flight en route from Bhubaneswar to Ranchi encountered a tail strike incident while landing on Friday evening, officials reported.

Around 7.30 pm, the plane carrying approximately 70 passengers experienced a sudden jolt as the aircraft's tail touched the runway. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, according to Ranchi airport Director Vinod Kumar.

The aircraft was subsequently grounded due to technical ineligibility for further travel, resulting in the cancellation of subsequent flights and travel disruptions for some passengers, who either rescheduled or were transported by road to Bhubaneswar.
