Tragedy on the Highway: Fatal Collision Claims Young Life

A young man, aged 19, was killed and his sister injured in a motorcycle-truck collision on the Rae Bareli-Sultanpur highway. Villagers brought the siblings to the Fursatganj health centre, where the man was declared dead. Authorities are searching for the truck involved.

A tragic accident took place on the Rae Bareli-Sultanpur highway when a 19-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision with a truck. His sister, who was riding with him, sustained injuries in the incident.

In an immediate response, villagers rushed the injured pair, Vikas Maurya and Pinki Maurya, to the community health centre in Fursatganj. Despite their efforts, doctors pronounced Vikas dead upon arrival.

According to Station House Officer Nand Hausila Yadav, the victim's body has been sent for postmortem examination while the police have initiated a search for the truck involved in the accident, which fled the scene.
