Northern Railway's Jammu Division successfully operated two special trains to accommodate the surge of pilgrims between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and New Delhi. More than 1,600 passengers traveled over the last two days, highlighting the efficiency of railway officials and staff.
The special train, numbered 04082/04081, was launched to manage increased passenger demand. On Saturday, around 700 passengers utilized the service, and the numbers rose to over 900 on Sunday, according to railway officials.
Efficient management of the operations ensured a reliable mode of transport for travelers. A special drive at Jammu Railway Station led to the registration of 50 cases of violations, resulting in a Rs 25,000 fine, ensuring smooth adherence to railway rules.
