In a tragic incident on the Basti-Lumbini Road, a bus carrying Urs pilgrims collided head-on with a truck, leading to four fatalities and 11 serious injuries, according to local police authorities.

The accident took place late Monday night near the Hardiya intersection, within the Kotwali Police Station area, as confirmed by Deputy Inspector General of Police Sanjeev Tyagi. The bus, which was transporting 60 pilgrims from Sant Kabir Nagar to the Ajmer Sharif shrine, faced an unanticipated calamity.

The victims included passengers Abdullah and Mukhtar Ali, both from Basti, as well as the bus driver Sandeep Pandey. Both drivers involved in the collision, including the truck driver Shiv Raj Singh from Siddharthnagar district, were among those killed.
