Welspun World, a diversified group, has commenced commercial operations at its newly established ductile iron pipe manufacturing facility in Anjar, Gujarat. This development marks a significant step in the company's expansion plans.
The newly inaugurated plant boasts a production capacity of 200 kilo metric tonnes per annum, bringing the company's total capacity to 400 kilo metric tonnes annually. This expansion is part of a multi-crore rupee investment aimed at enhancing infrastructure and water management capabilities.
The facility, inaugurated by Union Minister for Jal Shakti C R Patil, supports key government initiatives such as the Jal Shakti Abhiyan and Jal Jeevan Mission, signaling a robust commitment to improving water infrastructure and security.
