In an effort to enhance the efficiency of India's Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, government think tank NITI Aayog has proposed the convergence of various government schemes.
The newly released report advocates for the creation of a centralized portal for MSMEs, along with integrating Cluster Development Schemes and skill development programs, to streamline and broaden support for these enterprises.
According to the report launched by NITI Aayog member Arvind Virmani, the suggestions include establishing domestic and international marketing wings, facilitating participation in trade fairs, and promoting global market access. Overall, the aim is to unify government efforts to improve service delivery, reduce redundancies, and maximize the impact on MSME growth.
