In a tragic incident early Thursday morning, a fatal collision on National Highway 43 in Jharkhand's Gumla district claimed four lives and left three others injured. The accident involved a truck crashing into a pickup van, which was transporting sweet sellers.

The accident occurred around 5.30 am near the Bhadgaon area, within the Bharno police jurisdiction. According to Superintendent of Police Haris Bin Zaman, three individuals died instantly, while a fourth succumbed to injuries during treatment at a local hospital.

Two of the injured, who are in critical condition, have been transferred to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Ranchi, while another remains hospitalized in Gumla. Police identified the deceased as Sanjay Kumar Bhuiyan, Sunil Kumar, Baleshwar Sahu, and Bajrangi Kumar. Authorities have launched an investigation into the crash.
