The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) announced on Friday that export incentive schemes, such as duty drawback, RoDTEP, and RoSCTL, have been extended to postal shipments.

These incentives are poised to enhance the competitiveness of MSME exporters, particularly in smaller towns and remote areas, significantly boosting postal exports, according to the finance ministry.

The initiative, effective from January 15, 2026, includes regulatory amendments and is a stride towards 'Ease of Doing Business,' signaling a commitment to fostering a conducive ecosystem for cross-border e-commerce growth.
