The free trade agreement between India and the European Union (EU) is being hailed as the 'mother of all deals' by India's Commerce and Industry Minister, Piyush Goyal. He emphasized that the proposed deal would not only be comprehensive but also mutually advantageous for both parties involved.
Goyal highlighted that the trade relations between the two regions are already balanced in terms of goods and services. He described the impending agreement as a 'super deal' for India's export sectors, underlining its potential to boost economic relations significantly.
Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrwal mentioned that negotiations between India and the EU are nearing completion. The remaining issues are being resolved with hopes of finalizing the deal in time for the visit of the EU's top leadership this month. Since 2014, India has finalized seven trade agreements, marking a steady advancement in its global trade strategy.
