The Public Works Department has embarked on constructing new flyovers in South Delhi, aiming to tackle traffic snarls at Modi Mill and Savitri Cinema intersections. However, the presence of numerous utility lines poses significant challenges for the project moving forward.

Recently approved by the Delhi government, this project involves extending a six-lane flyover from Modi Mill railway overbridge to Nehru Place bus depot and developing a new three-lane flyover at Savitri Cinema junction. Utility cables and drainage systems complicate the construction landscape, impacting the ramp and box sections of the underpass.

To enhance the area's infrastructure, plans include additional features such as a service road, footpaths, and cycle tracks. These flyovers are expected to alleviate congestion and provide smooth, signal-free movement along key routes, significantly improving traffic conditions in the heavily congested Outer Ring Road area.
