Air India, one of India's preeminent airlines, has announced an exciting upgrade on its Mumbai-Frankfurt route. Scheduled to start in February, the airline will deploy its state-of-the-art B787-9 aircraft, enhancing its fleet with brand-new or updated products.

This strategic move aligns with Air India's long-term fleet transformation, projected to continue until 2026, which includes additional widebody aircraft deliveries and retrofits. The airline emphasizes that this initiative aims to modernize the interiors of a substantial part of its long-haul fleet.

Moreover, Air India has fortified its international presence through a codeshare partnership with Lufthansa, facilitating connections to 29 destinations beyond Frankfurt. A recent agreement with Saudia Group further expands connectivity, offering access to cities in the Middle East and major Indian destinations, thereby enriching flight options and elevating passenger experiences.
