In the early hours of Monday, a private double-decker bus carrying 50 passengers overturned on the Lucknow-Ayodhya highway, leaving 12 individuals injured, including two women, according to police reports.
Passengers have alleged that the bus driver was speeding throughout the journey and may have been under the influence of alcohol, leading to the crash near Narepur village around 3:00 am.
Local authorities, responding promptly to the incident, facilitated medical treatment for the injured and are actively searching for the missing bus driver and conductor. Preliminary investigations cite speeding and possible intoxication as factors in the accident.
