A devastating collision between two motorcycles resulted in the loss of four lives and injured one person in Bihar's Buxar district on Wednesday, according to police reports.
The accident transpired near Nikris village along the Chausa-Ramgarh road within the Rajpur Police Station jurisdiction. Police confirmed the head-on collision occurred at around 12:30 PM, involving five individuals on two bikes. Officer Niwas Kumar detailed that Surya Dev Kumar, Ritesh Singh, Md Saif, and Upendra Prajapati lost their lives in this tragic event.
The injured individual is currently undergoing medical treatment at a hospital in Benaras. Authorities revealed that one person died on the spot, two succumbed during transport to Buxar Sadar Hospital, and another passed away later in the evening at the hospital. The local SDPO expressed deep sorrow over the incident.
