Microsoft founder Bill Gates is set to visit Andhra Pradesh on February 16 to explore deeper collaboration with the state's government in education, health, and agriculture through the Gates Foundation. Key discussions are planned with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and IT Minister Nara Lokesh.
Gates will also examine the state's Real Time Governance System (RTGS) to evaluate how technology is being utilized to enhance government functions. This visit includes a presentation by Naidu on the Swarna Andhra 2047 vision and various sector reforms, highlighting areas like med-tech, diagnostic services, and the Sanjeevani health record digitization program.
The visit will conclude with a trip to an agricultural center in Amaravati's Undavalli village, where Gates will witness innovative practices involving drones and AI technology, aimed at improving agricultural efficiency and output.
