Sterlite Group announced on Tuesday the appointment of Sumil Mathur as its Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO). With an impressive resume spanning nearly three decades, Mathur will take charge of the Group's financial strategy, governance, and capital framework.
In his new role, Mathur is expected to oversee risk management and push forward financial transformation to aid sustainable growth and long-term value creation within the company's businesses, according to an official statement.
Before joining Sterlite, Mathur was the CFO and COO at EMAAR India, where he was instrumental in implementing the company's post-demerger strategy. His past positions also include senior leadership roles at HCL, Indus Towers, Airtel, and JCB, which provided him with valuable exposure across key sectors such as infrastructure, real estate, and telecommunications.
