The KP Singh Foundation (KPSF) has embarked on a mission to empower rural women in Haryana by launching the 'Empowering Women through Dairy Entrepreneurship' project in collaboration with ISAP India. Announced at Jaat Bhawan, Karnal, this initiative targets the districts of Karnal and Kurukshetra, with the goal of equipping 500 women with the necessary skills and support to turn traditional dairy practices into profitable enterprises.
During the launch, key stakeholders from the National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Centre of Excellence for Dairy Skills in India (CEDSI), and other organizations highlighted the pivotal role women play in the dairy sector. Gaurav Vats, COO of ISAP India Foundation, emphasized the importance of skill development and market linkages, while livestock expert Dr. Ramesh Rawal provided insights on enhancing dairy productivity and managing costs.
The project not only aims to foster entrepreneurship but also strives towards comprehensive rural development. Mr. Venu Nair, CEO of KP Singh Foundation, underscored the broader impact of women's economic empowerment, noting its potential to improve family welfare and community development. This initiative represents a significant stride towards gender equality and economic resilience in rural Haryana.
