In response to the ongoing crisis in West Asia, the Indian government has intensified its fuel supply measures, ensuring that natural gas is fully available to domestic and CNG users, and at 80% capacity for industrial consumers, according to a statement from the Petroleum Ministry on Friday.

Addressing a press briefing, Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, emphasized that the government is striving to minimize disruptions to the public, as import challenges persist due to geopolitical tensions. However, local supplies of domestic LPG remain consistent, with no distributor experiencing dry-outs.

Despite rumors causing panic buying in some regions, Sharma urged consumers to rely on online bookings for LPG deliveries to prevent congestion at distributor showrooms. She also highlighted restored commercial LPG supply and the uninterrupted availability of petrol and diesel nationwide, assuring sufficient crude inventories and optimal refinery operations.
