Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw visited the BEML unit in Bengaluru, showcasing government's focus on advancing high-speed rail technology. During his visit, he inspected the ongoing manufacturing processes and inaugurated 'Aditya', a dedicated complex for developing high-speed rail coaches.
Vaishnaw emphasized the intricacies of high-speed rail technology, heralding the new developments as a landmark achievement for Indian engineering. He particularly highlighted how future trains could connect major cities like Chennai and Bengaluru in a mere 73 minutes, potentially transforming them into a unified economic hub.
He announced the forthcoming launch of the Vande Bharat service between Mangaluru and Bengaluru, along with enhancements in connectivity via new services including a Vande Bharat Sleeper Express. The Minister underscored the strategic planning involved in expanding regional connectivity while underscoring environmental consciousness.
