Delhi: Fire at Shram Shakti Bhawan; 6 fire tenders rushed

A minor fire broke out at the Shram Shakti Bhawan on Rafi Marg in New Delhi on Monday, which was brought under control within minutes, an official of the Delhi Fire Services said. A call was received about the blaze at around 4.20 pm, following which six fire tenders were rushed to the spot, he said. ''The fire was confined to the outer unit of an air conditioner installed in the building premises on the second floor. It was quickly brought under control by 4.30 pm,'' a DFS officer said. No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident, he said. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Further details are awaited.
