Nalco's Q4 Profits Dip Amid Revenue Decline and Rising Expenses
Nalco reported a 16.6% drop in consolidated net profit for Q4 of FY26, due to decreased revenue and increased expenses. Revenue fell to Rs 5,012.82 crore, while total expenses rose to Rs 2,898.30 crore. The company approved a Rs 2 per share interim dividend amid ongoing evaluation of New Labour Codes impact.
State-run National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco) announced a significant 16.6% decline in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ending March 31, 2026. The company's profit decreased to Rs 1,722.44 crore compared to Rs 2,067.23 crore in the same period last year, primarily due to reduced revenue and increased expenditures.
Nalco's revenue fell to Rs 5,012.82 crore in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026, down from Rs 5,267.83 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, as per its latest filing with stock exchanges. The Navratna public sector undertaking's total expenses climbed to Rs 2,898.30 crore from Rs 2,633.80 crore a year earlier.
Furthermore, Nalco's board has approved a third interim dividend of Rs 2 per equity share, totaling Rs 367.33 crore for the fiscal year 2025-26. The company is also analyzing the financial implications of the New Labour Codes, introduced in November 2025, and has provisionally accounted for Rs 20.30 crore pending further rule promulgation.
