The Mumbai-Pune 'Missing Link' project, an ambitious infrastructure undertaking on the Yashwantrao Chavan Expressway, is poised to dramatically improve connectivity between two of Maharashtra's major economic hubs. Slated to open to the public on May 1, coinciding with Maharashtra Day, the project will be inaugurated by the state's Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Ministers.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) announced that this project, managed by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), is anticipated to reduce travel time and optimize logistics. Such enhancements are expected to generate economic benefits, with improved supply chain efficiency and lowered logistics and inventory costs, thereby fostering an accelerated movement of goods and workforce along this crucial corridor.

Deepak Garg, Chairman of CII Maharashtra, emphasized the transformative impact of such infrastructure projects on regional competitiveness and the overall business environment. By offering better market access and operational efficiency, the Mumbai-Pune Missing Link is positioned to bolster the state's attractiveness for investment, aiding MSMEs and major manufacturing clusters alike. Infrastructure remains key to sustaining economic growth and reinforcing Maharashtra's industrial landscape.
