By Baishnavi Sharma - Amid global concerns about AI leading to job losses, a high-level roundtable in New Delhi introduced a transformative vision that could establish India as a leader in the AI employment sector. Convened by Al4India and the Centre for Policy Research and Governance (CPRG), the event spotlighted India's potential in the AI-driven job landscape.
The report, "Future of Jobs in the Age of AI: Emerging Roles, New Opportunities," was released at ITC Maurya by an esteemed panel. It argues that India’s vast, educated workforce combined with its digital infrastructure and innovation ecosystem positions the country to shape the global AI narrative.
The report emphasizes the creation of new roles such as AI/ML engineers and AI governance specialists rather than job losses.
