Karnataka Cabinet Greenlights High-Speed Rail and Major Development Projects

Additional approvals include industrial projects, public works, and funding for air connectivity, along with administrative changes affecting local infrastructure and industry.

The Karnataka Cabinet has endorsed a series of infrastructure and welfare developments, notably supporting high-speed rail corridors and a substantial suburban initiative in Bengaluru, costing Rs 18,133 crore.
Karnataka Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H K Patil announced the high-speed rail plan, highlighting improved connections within Karnataka and emphasizing Hyderabad–Bengaluru and Chennai–Bengaluru routes.
Additionally, the Cabinet approved Rs 600 crore for minority colony development, industrial projects, air connectivity funding, and public works, reflecting a commitment to comprehensive regional growth.
