Noida International Airport (NIA) is gearing up to commence commercial operations from June 15, marking a significant milestone for aviation in Uttar Pradesh. IndiGo will inaugurate passenger services, with Akasa Air and Air India Express following suit, as per the airport's statement.
After receiving the Aerodrome Security Programme approval, the airport is set to provide top-notch security and operational efficiency. Designed to meet the increasing demand for air travel in the National Capital Region and western Uttar Pradesh, NIA boasts modern infrastructure and aims for smooth passenger experiences.
The airport's opening is poised to enhance regional connectivity and stimulate economic growth, trade, tourism, and investment. With a capacity of 12 million passengers and plans to expand to 70 million, the facility blends Swiss efficiency with Indian hospitality, committing to net-zero emissions and sustainable practices.
