Empowering Rural Entrepreneurs: Launch of NEED Initiative
Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary launched the National Entrepreneurs Empowerment Drive (NEED) to strengthen rural entrepreneurship in India. The initiative, supported by the National Skill Development Corporation, aims to create scalable rural enterprises and enhance international workforce mobility, with industry partners providing mentorship and market access.
Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary has inaugurated the National Entrepreneurs Empowerment Drive (NEED) in Jaipur, Rajasthan, marking a significant stride towards enhancing rural entrepreneurship.
The initiative, backed by the National Skill Development Corporation, aims to position India as a hub of skilled talent and bolster rural enterprises. It also includes the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to establish the Skill India International Centre in Jaipur.
Chaudhary highlighted the role of industry partners in supporting first-generation entrepreneurs with technology integration, mentorship, and market access, thereby fostering scalable and sustainable rural businesses across the nation.
