Radisson Hotel Group plans to expand its presence in India, aiming for 157-160 hotels and up to 19,500 keys by the end of 2026. Despite challenges in metro areas, strong demand from smaller cities supports growth. The group remains committed to reaching 500 hotels in India by 2030.
Radisson Hotel Group is set to significantly increase its footprint in India, with plans to operate between 157 and 160 hotels, comprising up to 19,500 keys, by December 2026. This growth strategy is driven by a robust pipeline and ongoing expansion in diverse markets.
Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and COO for South Asia, confirmed the group's ambitious target of having 500 Indian hotels by 2030. Currently, the company operates 142 hotels and aims to add 2,500 keys with new openings this year.
While metro area slowdowns are noted due to geopolitical tensions, smaller cities show resilience. March saw a decline in revenue per available room in some metros, but the industry remains buoyed by local demand, particularly from tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
