Tragic Bus Accident in Himachal Pradesh: 28 Injured After Driver's Sudden Illness

A private bus met with a tragic accident in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra district on Sunday morning, leaving at least 28 passengers injured. The driver, who experienced sudden chest pain, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn on the Pathankot-Mandi National Highway.

Prompt action by locals and emergency services helped rescue the victims, among whom four—identified as Manjeet Singh, Pihu, Sangeeta Devi, and Nitika—were critically injured and rushed to a local hospital for advanced medical treatment. Initial reports suggest the driver may have suffered a heart attack.

An investigation has been launched by police to ascertain the exact circumstances of the accident, as several other passengers also sustained varying degrees of injuries in the unfortunate event.
