Tragic Collision in Odisha: SUV Slams Into Truck Leaving Five Dead

A devastating accident in Odisha's Jajpur district claimed five lives and injured seven others when an SUV collided with a truck. The victims were returning from a marriage ceremony when their vehicle slammed into the truck on the Daitary-Paradeep highway. An investigation is underway.

A fatal accident occurred in Odisha's Jajpur district when an SUV carrying 12 individuals collided with a truck, resulting in five deaths, including two women. Seven others sustained critical injuries.

The crash happened near Barada Chhak on the Daitary-Paradeep express highway. As per police reports, the victims were returning to their homes after attending a wedding in Keonjhar. The collision was so severe that the SUV became wedged under the truck.

The injured parties were initially taken to local community health centers before being transferred to SCB Medical College in Cuttack due to worsening conditions. Authorities have begun probing the incident, following the truck's escape from the scene.
