RSGBL Expands Southern India Footprint with Major Cargill Acquisition
Riddhi Siddhi Gluco Biols Ltd. has acquired Cargill's corn milling plant in Davangere, enhancing its operational presence in southern India. This acquisition boosts RSGBL's manufacturing capacity, enabling efficient service across food, pharmaceutical, and industrial sectors. Riddhi Siddhi Gluco Biols Ltd. (RSGBL), listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange, has completed the acquisition of a corn milling plant from Cargill in Davangere, Karnataka. The facility, operational since 2016, expands RSGBL's southern India presence with a processing capacity of 300,000 MT annually.
With this acquisition, RSGBL bolsters its capacity to cater to food, pharmaceutical, and industrial sectors while committing to sustainable and efficient operations. Executive Director Siddharth Chowdhary emphasized the strategic importance of the Davangere location for serving domestic and export markets, envisioning it as a new chapter of growth and innovation for RSGBL.
The acquisition aligns with RSGBL’s long-term vision to be a leader in the starch industry by expanding production capacity and operational reach. Cargill's Vice President & Managing Director, Dheeraj Talreja, expressed confidence in RSGBL's growth prospects.
