Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh laid the foundation for Carrier Global's Rs 1,000 crore air-conditioner manufacturing facility in Tirupati. The project is expected to generate around 3,000 job opportunities, both directly and indirectly, bolstering the state's industrial sector and positioning Andhra Pradesh as a significant manufacturing hub.
This investment is part of Andhra Pradesh's broader strategy to create a robust manufacturing ecosystem, focusing on data centers, advanced cooling systems, and precision manufacturing. The state boasts investment inflows of Rs 12,000 crore into its HVAC ecosystem, making it pivotal for cooling equipment production.
Sri City, spanning 8,500 acres with 250 companies from 31 countries, plays a crucial role with over USD 6 billion in exports. The Andhra Pradesh government utilizes industry-friendly policies and large industrial corridors to attract global enterprises, aiming to establish specialized hubs and industrial clusters across various sectors.
