A German national aboard a luxury cruise ship affected by a hantavirus outbreak will undergo testing in Düsseldorf, Germany. The woman reportedly shows no symptoms.

Bild newspaper revealed that she had been in contact with another German woman who died during the voyage. A high-risk transport unit from Düsseldorf's fire brigade is en route to Amsterdam International Airport to escort her safely to the hospital.

The hospital has yet to comment on the situation. Oceanwide Expeditions disclosed plans for a transfer of three passengers to specialized aircraft, slated for Wednesday morning, Cape Verde time. Since the outbreak began in early April, two Dutch passengers have died, and a British national is in intensive care in South Africa.
