The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) is on a digital transformation journey, now earning 30% of its daily revenue through cashless transactions. With multiple digital payment options available, including UPI and card payments, the initiative is revolutionizing passenger experience and enhancing operational transparency.

Digital transactions, particularly via UPI, account for about 85% of the cashless payments made, reflecting a significant shift towards digital convenience for passengers. This aligns with the state government's broader strategy to promote digital governance, spearheaded by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.

Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi emphasized the importance of extending digital payment facilities to more GSRTC services, aiming to increase the digital transaction share to 60-70%. The daily digital collections, which have doubled from last year, mark a crucial step toward a cashless economy.
