UK Authorities Monitor Hantavirus Cruise Ship Outbreak
The UK Health Security Agency announced that no British citizens on a cruise ship hit by a hantavirus outbreak are showing symptoms. However, two people have returned to the UK after being onboard, and they are also not currently showing any symptoms, although they are being monitored closely.
The UK Health Security Agency reported Wednesday that British citizens aboard the luxury cruise ship affected by a hantavirus outbreak are symptom-free. Authorities are maintaining vigilance in monitoring their health.
Additionally, the agency acknowledged two individuals who returned to the UK after traveling on the MV Hondius. As of now, both individuals are not exhibiting any signs of infection from the virus.
Despite the lack of symptoms, the current priority remains on the continued observation of both the cruise ship passengers and those who have returned to the UK, ensuring swift action should any symptoms arise.
