Diesel tanker overturns in Beed, crowd gathers to collect spilt fuel in utensils

A tanker carrying diesel overturned in Majalgaon in Beed on Sunday morning, drenching a stretch of the national highway towards Visakhapatnam in fuel, an official said. The incident took place near Talkhed cross road after the driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the arterial road being closed for traffic for some time, the official added.

A tanker carrying diesel overturned in Majalgaon in Beed on Sunday morning, drenching a stretch of the national highway towards Visakhapatnam in fuel, an official said. The incident took place near Talkhed cross road after the driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the arterial road being closed for traffic for some time, the official added. ''The tanker was moving from Ahilyanagar to Parli Vaijnath via Majalgaon. A large quantity of diesel spilled onto the road. Residents from nearby villages rushed to the spot, with several people trying to collect diesel in containers and utensils. No untoward incident was caused by the incident,'' he added.
