In a strategic push towards industrialization, West Bengal BJP president Samik Bhattacharya on Tuesday proposed a new land policy to attract large-scale businesses to the state.
Addressing a business chamber meeting, Bhattacharya highlighted plans to potentially scrap the Urban Land Ceiling Act and introduce contract farming, currently prohibited in West Bengal.
Stressing the need for economic transformation, Bhattacharya assured the business community of a 'fearless' investment climate, emphasizing minimal political interference and the removal of land-related obstacles.
