Green Light for Machilipatnam-Repalle Railway Line: A Boost to Connectivity

The ambitious Machilipatnam-Repalle railway line project, valued at Rs 2,816 crore, has officially received the green light, according to MP Vallabhaneni Balashowry. Expected administrative approvals will soon pave the way for the development of the 47.60 km broad-gauge railway line extending between Machilipatnam in Krishna district and Repalle in Guntur district.
Set for completion within four years, the construction will include six new railway stations, 70 bridges, and 24 railway under-bridges. These will be equipped with advanced electrification and signalling systems to enhance regional connectivity and transportation efficiency, the MP stated.
Balashowry further confirmed that the final location survey is complete, and the detailed project report has received approval from the Railway Board. Construction is anticipated to commence soon, marking a significant step forward in improving infrastructure in the area.
