In an effort to align with environmental conservation, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has penned a letter to the Maharashtra police, indicating his intention to travel by bus. The initiative follows the Prime Minister's recommendation to curb fuel consumption.

The journey, which will include officials, security personnel, and journalists, is part of a review of highway projects in Maharashtra. By choosing public transport, Gadkari aims to set an example for reducing fuel usage.

Additionally, Gadkari has appealed to the state government to cut down his convoy entourage by 50% during the inspection of the Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palakhi Marg projects scheduled for May 14 and 15.
