Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant called for robust support for MSMEs, women entrepreneurs, startups, and rural enterprises during the 133rd State Level Bankers' Committee meeting in Panaji.
Sawant highlighted significant enrollment in social security schemes, with the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana reaching 4.17 lakh beneficiaries and the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana at 12.12 lakh in Goa.
He urged banks to prioritize green financing, digital financial literacy, and expanded banking services, aligning with initiatives like Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047.
