In the evolving landscape of global security, a recent conference in India's capital underscored the need for cohesive strategies to tackle Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) threats. The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) hosted the event, drawing attention to threats from industrial accidents, toxic releases, and terrorism.

Upendra Kumar Singh, the Director General of Soldier Support Systems at DRDO, stressed that the unpredictable nature of current global security demands integrated approaches combining military power with financial and other soft power influences. The conference was essential, Singh noted, in bridging gaps between stakeholders dedicated to CBRN preparedness.

Roli Singh, Chairperson of the National Authority Chemical Weapons Convention, praised the assembly of policymakers, scientists, and security professionals. Meanwhile, an industry leader from Larsen & Toubro highlighted the urgency of response times during CBRN incidents. The gathering concluded with calls for more government-industry collaboration to bolster national defenses against such evolving threats.
