Canada is set to bolster its economic ties with India as a 'Team Canada' business delegation, led by International Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu, plans a visit to the South Asian nation later this year. The initiative aims to facilitate increased trade, with both countries targeting a USD 50 billion trade volume by 2030.

At a joint press conference with Indian Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Sidhu detailed the trade mission's objectives, emphasizing Canada's efforts to diversify its trading partners. By unlocking approximately USD 300 billion in non-U.S. exports, Canada seeks to strengthen its international economic partnerships.

Union Minister Goyal's visit to Canada, featuring the largest Indian delegation to date, underscores the growing momentum in bilateral relations.
