In a sharp critique against the central government, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has lambasted the administration following a Rs 2 per kg increase in CNG prices, escalating the costs for users of CNG-powered vehicles.
During a press briefing in Jaipur, Gehlot castigated the government for its insufficiently transparent explanation of these price surges, arguing that such opacity only breeds 'misconceptions and misunderstandings' among the populace. He insisted the public deserves direct communication about these 'compulsions' stemming from global challenges.
Gehlot derided BJP leaders' responses to Prime Minister Modi's austerity appeal, dismissing their actions as mere 'spectacle' that fails to resonate with ordinary citizens, especially in rural areas. The latest hike marks the fourth increase in 15 days, further burdening urban public transportation that relies heavily on CNG.
