A ​German ‌government spokesperson said ​on Wednesday that ‌Berlin's focus was on implementing the existing EU-U.S. trade ‌agreement, expressing confidence that agreements ‌would be honoured.

The spokesperson was responding to ⁠questions ​during ⁠a press conference about the U.S. ⁠administration's proposed new ​tariffs of 10% on imports ⁠from the EU and ⁠other ​economies because they failed to curb trade ⁠in goods made with ⁠forced ⁠labour.
