With technological infrastructure comparable to global standards, GeM prides itself on transparency, inclusivity, and substantial growth in transaction volumes across startups, small enterprises, and women entrepreneurs.
In a notable address, Mihir Kumar, CEO of the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), lauded the platform's accomplishments in meeting global digital standards. Speaking at a press conference, Kumar credited GeM's robust architecture and functionalities as key competitive benchmarks in the international procurement arena.

The marketplace's growth is evident in its increased order numbers—from around 6,000 to 74 lakh—and market access expansion for small enterprises and women entrepreneurs. Transparency, buyer efficiency, and trust integrity remain central, facilitated by advanced AI and machine learning tools to ensure smooth transactions.
