The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued a call for online applications from eligible candidates for the position of Young Professional (YP) across various specialized departments at its Central Office in Mumbai. Successful applicants will earn a monthly stipend of Rs 1,50,000 during their tenure.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 12 positions in advanced domains such as artificial intelligence, quantum technology, cybersecurity, and climate change risk. The engagement entails a three-year contract, with a potential two-year extension based on mutual agreement. However, these roles are strictly on a contractual basis and do not equate to regular employment with the RBI.

Eligibility criteria stipulate that candidates must be Indian citizens aged between 21 to 30 as of July 6, 2026, the closing date for online application submissions. The RBI has outlined detailed performance, operational, and financial guidelines for candidates, emphasizing that the YPs must adhere to a full-time contract and abstain from other employment. Furthermore, candidates must comply with standard office hours, bearing in mind that any unauthorized long absence might lead to contract termination.
